3. Ashram Code of Conduct

Samadhi Yoga Ashram is a sacred spiritual institution rooted in the Himalayan tradition of Kriya Yoga — it is a place of genuine inner transformation, yogic discipline, and dedicated learning. All students are expected to honour and uphold the ashram’s values, atmosphere, and lifestyle for the full duration of their program.

3.1 Student Responsibilities

  • Attend all scheduled sessions, classes, meditation practices, and training activities as per the published daily timetable
  • Demonstrate sincere respect for all teachers, ashram staff, and fellow students at all times
  • Maintain punctuality and active participation in all academic and practical sessions
  • Notify the ashram administration in advance of any absence necessitated by a genuine emergency
  • Return to the ashram premises by 9:45 PM each evening. Ashram gates close at 10:00 PM
  • Observe appropriate silence during meals, meditation sessions, and designated quiet hours
  • Disclose all pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, allergies, and physical or mental health limitations at the time of registration and prior to arrival at the ashram

3.2 Conduct Strictly Prohibited on Ashram Premises

The following behaviours are prohibited on all Samadhi Yoga Ashram premises and during all program activities:

  • Consumption of alcohol, tobacco products, recreational drugs, non-vegetarian food, or any intoxicating substances
  • Any form of bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, verbal abuse, or discriminatory behaviour directed at students, staff, faculty, or visitors
  • Willful damage to ashram property or deliberate disruption of the ashram’s spiritual environment
  • Practising yoga in swimwear, bikinis, or any attire deemed inappropriate by ashram administration
  • Use of mobile phones and electronic devices inside the yoga hall or meditation space. All devices must be switched off during practice sessions
  • Photography, video, or audio recording during any class or session without prior written permission from ashram management

3.3 Disciplinary Procedures

Violation of the Ashram Code of Conduct may result in any one or more of the following actions, at the sole discretion of Samadhi Yoga Ashram management: a formal verbal warning and counselling session; temporary suspension from classes and practices; or permanent dismissal from the program without refund, credit, or transfer of any fees paid. Samadhi Yoga Ashram’s decision in all disciplinary matters is final and binding on all parties.

4. Attendance, Examinations & Certification

4.1 Attendance Policy

  • All students are required to attend every scheduled class, practice session, and training activity as per the daily program timetable
  • A minimum attendance record of 90% is mandatory to be eligible for certification at the conclusion of the program
  • Unauthorised or unexplained absences will negatively affect certification eligibility irrespective of other academic performance

4.2 Assessment & Examinations

  • All programs conclude with practical, written, and/or theory-based assessments
  • Failure to participate in scheduled examinations, or submission of incomplete assessments, will result in non-issuance of the certification
  • Students who do not achieve a passing grade in their first assessment attempt may be offered one re-examination opportunity within the same batch, subject to faculty availability

4.3 Certification

  • Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all program requirements including minimum attendance, examinations, and full adherence to the Ashram Code of Conduct throughout the duration of the course
  • Payment of the full program fee in no way guarantees automatic issuance of a certificate. Certification at Samadhi Yoga Ashram must be earned through dedicated participation and academic achievement
  • Yoga Alliance registration following program completion is subject to Yoga Alliance’s own independent eligibility requirements, which are entirely outside Samadhi Yoga Ashram’s control

5. Total Program Fee Structure — Complete Breakdown

IMPORTANT: The total published fee for all Samadhi Yoga Ashram programs comprises two distinct and independent components. Together these constitute 100% of the total program fee. Please read this section fully before making any payment.

All program fees at Samadhi Yoga Ashram are structured as follows:

Component Amount Payable To When GST Treatment
Enrollment Consultation Fee 20% of Total Program Fee Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Before departure from home country — online payment Indian students: 18% GST charged additionally. International students: Zero-rated export of service (IGST Act, 2017)
Course Fee Balance 80% of Total Program Fee Samadhi Yoga Ashram On arrival at the ashram — within 2 days As per applicable Indian tax law on educational/spiritual services
Total Program Fee 100%

5.1 Component 1 — Enrollment Consultation & Facilitation Fee (20% of Total Fee)

This component is collected independently by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd., our authorized enrollment consultation partner, in its own capacity. This fee is charged in consideration of the full suite of pre-enrollment consultation services delivered directly to the student by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which include:

  • A personalised spiritual and academic needs assessment to understand your yoga background, goals, and experience level
  • Matching you with the most appropriate program — whether Multi-Style YTTC, Kundalini YTTC, Ayurveda TTC, Retreat, or online course — based on your profile
  • Pre-arrival orientation covering ashram life, daily timetables, packing guidance, and spiritual preparation
  • Facilitating smooth communication between you and the Samadhi Yoga Ashram administration during the enrollment process
  • Issuing your formal enrollment confirmation documentation
  • Providing ongoing pre-arrival support until the commencement of your program

This fee is payable before your departure from your home country and is non-refundable, as the consultation service is considered fully delivered upon the issuance of your enrollment confirmation. Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. issues its own independent invoice for this component.

5.2 GST Treatment on the Enrollment Consultation Fee

For Indian Students:

The enrollment consultation fee is subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the rate of 18% under SAC Code 998313 (Enrollment Consultation and Facilitation Services). GST is charged in addition to the consultation fee and is shown as a separate line item on the GST-compliant invoice issued by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Indian students who are registered GST entities may be eligible to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on this component, subject to applicable conditions.

For International Students:

The enrollment consultation fee qualifies as an export of service under Section 2(6) of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) Act, 2017, provided the following conditions are met: the service provider (Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) is situated in India; the recipient is located outside India at the time of payment; the place of supply is determined to be outside India; and payment is received in convertible foreign exchange through proper banking channels. As a zero-rated supply under the IGST Act, no GST is applicable on this component for international students. A zero-rated invoice is issued in the relevant foreign currency referencing the applicable Letter of Undertaking (LUT) filed by Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. with the GST authorities. Payment must be made by international bank transfer in foreign currency (USD, EUR, or other convertible currency) for the zero-rating treatment to apply.

5.3 Component 2 — Course Fee Balance (80% of Total Fee)

The course fee balance is payable directly to Samadhi Yoga Ashram on your arrival at the ashram and must be settled in full within two (2) calendar days of arrival. Failure to complete payment within this window may result in cancellation of your enrollment at the ashram’s discretion. This component covers all tuition, accommodation, daily vegetarian meals, course materials, and program certification as specified for your selected course.

5.4 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Cash: USD (US Dollars), EUR (Euros), INR (Indian Rupees)
  • Credit/Debit Card: A 5% bank transaction surcharge is applied and is payable by the student
  • Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer: Please contact the ashram administration for banking details. Any international transfer charges are borne by the student
  • UPI (India only): Available for INR payments on ashram premises

5.5 Independence of Each Entity

Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Samadhi Yoga Ashram are independent legal entities, each solely responsible for their respective fee collections, invoicing, and tax compliance. Queries or disputes concerning the Enrollment Consultation Fee should be directed to Proponent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Queries or disputes concerning the Course Fee Balance should be addressed to Samadhi Yoga Ashram directly.
