FAQs — Hosting a Retreat at Samadhi Yoga Ashram, Bali

We comfortably host groups from 6 to 40 participants. Smaller groups of fewer than 6 are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on dates and room availability. For groups over 40, please contact us directly to discuss what is possible with the space we have.

You are completely welcome to bring your own teachers. Our faculty is available to supplement your schedule if you want additional sessions in pranayama, Ayurveda, sound healing or other areas — but that is entirely optional and at your request.

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your dates. The deposit is non-refundable if the retreat is cancelled. Rescheduling is possible — we can transfer the deposit to new dates, provided you give us at least 60 days’ notice and the new dates are available. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your retreat begins. For bespoke arrangements or large groups, we detail the specific terms in your proposal.

Yes. When your group is here, the campus is yours. We do not mix retreat groups or allow general accommodation guests during your dates. Your participants have the shalas, the communal spaces and the grounds entirely to themselves.

Yes. While we specialise in sattvic vegetarian cuisine, our chefs can prepare customised meals for vegan, gluten-free or specific allergy requirements at no extra cost.

Yes, fully. The retreat content is entirely yours. You provide the daily schedule you want to run, and we build the logistics around it. If you would like suggestions for sequencing the day or ideas for integrating local experiences, our team is happy to advise.

We typically require a 3-night minimum for retreat hosting, though most successful immersions choose 5, 7 or 14-day formats. The duration of your retreat is fixed by you — we only provide suggestions to make your attendees’ journey worth remembering.

For the best choice of dates and room configurations, we recommend booking at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Peak season in Bali runs from March to June and from October to December — these months fill up earliest. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out and we will check availability immediately.

Our shalas are fully stocked with high-quality mats, bolsters, blocks, straps and meditation cushions. Your students only need to bring themselves and the things you have finalised for them.

Yes. Our Bali campus is equipped for all kinds of modalities — yoga, Ayurveda, silent, wellness or environmental retreats. We can arrange for our staff to hold a Noble Silence environment for your group during a silent retreat.

Yes, on request. We can advertise your retreat to a worldwide audience of yoga practitioners and teachers through our website and social media channels. We can also assist with logistics for your own promotional materials — photos of the campus, location details and facility descriptions.

Absolutely. If you want traditional Indian ceremonies as part of your retreat, we can arrange traditional Fire Ceremonies (Havan), kirtan sessions with local musicians, or guided trips to the sacred temples of Bali — to bring a touch of authentic devotion to your Indian-style retreat.

Pricing depends on group size, accommodation type, session requirements and time of year. Rates vary for custom proposals, including additional faculty sessions, Ayurvedic treatments or curated excursions. We send a clear, itemised breakdown in your custom proposal — no hidden elements.

We are a dedicated Yoga Alliance-accredited school, not a tourist or holiday resort. This means our shalas, our staff and the energy of the campus are all aligned with serious spiritual practice rather than holiday hospitality.
